Head Start is a corporate citizenship initiative of Wizer Academy, an industry-leading capacity-building services provider that has been the preferred partner to over 4,000 delegates and more than 100 of the leading brands across Africa.
Head Start (“the programme”) provides recent graduates with an opportunity to acquire job-ready business and productivity skills that gives beneficiaries a career head start.
We are now accepting applications for the next cohort of graduates into the programme. We are offering twelve (12) full scholarships for our intensive, 5-day training in Microsoft Office suite (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word).
In addition to practical sessions on work ethic and professional etiquette, successful candidates will learn to:
Analyse data with MS Excel
Learn presentation skills with MS PowerPoint
Create professional documents with MS Word
Each scholarship covers tuition (valued at ₦450,000), course literature, light refreshments, lunch, stationery and access to a laptop (if required) for the course duration. The programme runs from 9am – 5pm each day, with breaks for tea/coffee and lunch.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have obtained a B.Sc, HND or equivalent in any discipline, from any tertiary institution in Nigeria, within the last two years.
Candidates must have completed or be currently undergoing the National Youth Service (NYSC) scheme.
Each candidate must submit a brief essay (not more than 500 words), explaining his/her career aspiration and why this scholarship would be of benefit.
Each candidate may also provide any other relevant information in the essay, for a more compelling application.
Each application will be assessed strictly based on each candidate’s submission.

Terms and Conditions
The training will be conducted in person, at a venue in Lagos, Nigeria.
Scholarships cannot be deferred, redeemed for cash or transferred.
We reserve the right to withdraw any scholarship offer if, in our view, the integrity of the candidate is in question - (e.g providing false information or documents).
Wizer Academy reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a scheduled Head Start programme due to extraneous circumstances.
